Song Crafters with Dara
When: Monday, August 18, 3:30pm
Where: Lunitas (1039A Fulton Street between Downing and Irving)
What: Budding musicians can join in on a favorite tune sing along, then create a song of their own.
How much: $5 per family

Baby Breakfast
When: Tuesday, August 19, 10am-12pm
Where: Habana Outpost
What: We’re sure they’re so cute you could just eat them all up, but this is not that kind of Baby Breakfast. Bring the little’uns (four and under) to hang with their contemporaries, make crafts, and play.
How much: Free

Basic Programming  & Web Development Class
When: Wednesday, August 20, 6-7pm
Where: MetroTech Commons (in front of 5 MetroTech Center)
What: General Assembly will present this rare no-cost “Programming for Non-Programmers” course, for which the only prerequisites are a laptop and a click of the Attend button. If you’re not so techie but know changing that could improve your work or business, stop by and get educated.
How much: Free, but register ahead of time

Tenants’ Rights Workshop
When: Thursday, August 21, 6pm
Where: PACC Building (896-900 Fulton Street between Washington and Waverly Avenues)
What: Know your rights! If you’re experiencing problems with your landlord or building, make an appointment to speak with a specialist at the Pratt Area Community Council and arm yourself with information about what you’re entitled to, and how to get it.

Happy Hour Friday
When: Friday, August 22, 5pm
Where: Tipsy (584 Myrtle Avenue at Classon Avenue)
What: Broaden your wine horizons with the Tipsy staff, who’ll teach you about pairing one of their Sicilian white blends with the perfect dish.

Fort Greene Park Summer Literary Festival
When: Saturday, August 23
Where: Fort Greene Park
What: Join published authors and rookie scribes alike for readings of fiction, poetry, and more in the park–then follow up with a cake- and wine-filled bash at Greenlight Bookstore!
How much: Free

Pig Roast Sunday
When: Sunday, August 24, from 4pm on
Where: Colonia Verde (219 Dekalb Avenue between Clermont Avenue and Adelphi Street)
What: Pretty self-explanatory, right? Colonia Verde will be slow roasting a whole pig and serving it up special. Toasty!
How much: Free admission; then it’s up to you
