Former Mohawk Tavern Will Be Called “The Adirondack”

The new bar at 1241A Prospect Avenue (on the corner of Reeve Place) formerly called Mohawk Tavern will instead be called The Adirondack, says a bartender we spoke to over the weekend. As with the co-owners’ original idea, the name reflects a place in Upstate New York that holds significance to them.

The bartender we spoke with said some neighbors (as mentioned in the comments of our original post) have begun patronizing the establishment since the decision was made to change the name, and have expressed their thanks. If you haven’t been yet, you can now stop in starting at 3pm on weekdays and noon on weekends.
