The Church Avenue and Flatbush Avenue Business Improvement Districts are seeking a Deputy Executive Director.

The Deputy Executive Director will help to jointly manage both BIDs under the direction of Executive Director, Lauren Elvers Collins. The current Deputy Executive Director, Katie Mirkin, is moving on, the two BIDs announced.

The Church Avenue BID was formed in 1984, and covers thirteen blocks along Church, from Flatbush Avenue to Coney Island Avenue. The BID contains approximately 150 merchants. It is affiliated with CAMBA, a non-profit economic development organization and social services provider.The Flatbush Avenue BID was formed in 1988 and “provides services to keep Flatbush Avenue from Parkside Avenue to Cortelyou Road clean, safe, and profitable for its businesses.”BIDs are funded by a special tax assessment levied on commercial properties within the district.Applications for the Deputy Executive Director position are being accepted until midnight, April 10th.
