Last Tuesday night, a 16-year-old boy was in the West 8 Street F station in Coney Island when no less than 10 kids chased him down, punched and kicked him, and tried to steal the victims’ headphones, police reported. The boy was able to run away from the group — which consisted of seven black boys, two white boys, and a Hispanic girl, all in their teens — before they caught up to him again, punched and kicked him again, stole his cell phone, before running out of the station.

Now, justice has caught up to five of the young perps: On December 11, the police sent out an update saying five teens had been arrested in connection to the robbery.

Those individuals are Deonandre Cort, Raymond Pastrana, Malik Simmons, Quaneil Peterkin, and Witnell Julien. The arrested are all between 16 and 19 years old and hail from Gravesend, Flatbush, Greenpoint, and Bergen Beach. They are being charged with robbery.
