First Annual “Krampus Krawl” Coming To Coney Island Tomorrow
Marketed as an “alternative” to Santa Con — the notorious drunken bar crawl where an army of trashed frat bros descend upon a neighborhood of their choosing (this year, it’s the East Village) — Coney Island’s first annual Krampus Krawl will take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 10th.
The event, which sounds less like an alternative to Santa Con and more like a local, less property-damaging outer-borough alternative, costs $10 for registration. Participants are encouraged to dress in costume.
That registration fee will get you a free drink at Coney Island USA’s Freak Bar, $4 discounted drinks at The Steeplechase Beer Garden, $4 pints at Coney Island Brewing Company, and $3 Budweiser, $5 Draft Beers, and $20 Buckets of Coronas at The Red Doors Bar and Grill.
For those who plan on attending (and those who plan on avoiding), the crawl will take place from noon to 8 p.m.
The event is being run by not-for-profit Alliance for Coney Island.
