U2 Tribute Band “Unforgettable Fire” at Aviator Sports & Events Center
When: Friday, September 9, 8 to 11pm
Where: 3159 Flatbush Avenue
What: Unforgettable Fire, or “UF”, was born on New Years Day in 1995 as one of the very first U2 tribute bands ever to perform in America. After twenty years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show. UF is bringing their very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent Songs of Innocence and beyond to Aviator Sports Aces Patio.

Film Screening at Prospect Park: Jamaica Bay
When: Friday, September 9 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
Where: Prospect Park picnic house, enter at 5th street and Prospect Park West.
What: Meet the filmmaker and see Saving Jamaica Bay, the story of how one community overcame Hurricane Sandy to restore the largest open space in New York City. Narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon, Saving Jamaica Bay also symbolizes the efforts to preserve urban nature, combat climate change, and invest in our national parks.

2nd Annual Family Day Celebration
When: Saturday, September 10, Noon to 6pm
Where: Kaiser Park / Neptune Avenue & West 29th Street
What: Food, drink, music, dance contest, games, potato sack races, face painting, free school supplies and more.

8th Annual Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk and 5K Run raising money for Ovarian Cancer research and awareness
When: Saturday, September 10, from 8am to 1pm.
Where: Prospect Park, Brooklyn NY (9th Street and Prospect Park West)
What: Ovarian Cancer currently has no accurate screening test, and is therefore usually caught in a late stage, making it that much more deadly. For this reason it is especially crucial to inform women about this disease by spreading awareness and education, and to fund research to find a screening test or a cure.
