Escape With Energy Fuel’s Beach Wrap & Pina Colada Smoothie
Do the midweek blues have you down? Even if you can’t escape to Fire Island or the Jersey shore, the gang at Energy Fuel (606A 5th Avenue, between Prospect Avenue and 17th Street) has exactly what you need to take a fantasy trip to the seaside.
The beach club wrap ($9), is overflowing with juicy chicken chunks, tomato, lettuce, fat-free turkey bacon, avocado, and low-fat ranch dressing, swaddled in a whole wheat wrap. It’s incredibly fresh, and definitely satisfies a lunchtime appetite.
The real winner, though, is the pina colada smoothie ($5.50 for a medium and $6.50 for a large). Made with pineapple, banana, coconut, and pineapple juice, the creamy smoothie was just the refreshing pick me up that we needed to plough through the rest of our day. Seriously good stuff.
Energy Fuel is open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 10pm, and Sunday, 10am to 9pm. Credit cards are accepted, and delivery is available through both Seamless and GrubHub.
