Don’t Forget! There’s a Legislative Primary Tomorrow
Via NYC Board of Elections (with a little tinkering).
Yes, tomorrow is a Thursday, but there is an election nonetheless. Due to the anniversary of 9/11, the Governor and Legislature moved the State Legislative primary to 9/13.
If you’d like a refresher before voting, make sure to read our interviews with both candidates for the Democratic Assembly Member of the 42nd Assembly District:

While this is the most visible race in our area, there are other offices to vote for, including Male and Female Member of the State Committee and Delegates to the Judicial Convention. Oh, and if you’re unhappy with the way Supreme Court judges are elected in New York (or that they’re elected at all), the U.S. Supreme Court says too bad.
Polls are open 6am-9pm. Before heading out, make sure you’re registered and that you know where your polling place is (and look at a sample ballot to see what offices you’ll be voting for).

Are you smacking your forehead because you forgot to register and can’t vote tomorrow? Not to worry! There’s still time to do so before November. You have until 25 days prior to the election (October 12). And, as we all know, that one’s a biggie. And just in case you don’t think you have a choice. . .
As we all eagerly wait to pull that — sorry, scan that paper tomorrow, how do you feel about the election having been moved? There was a primary election on 9/11/2001. Would voting on the anniversary have been inappropriate or maybe just the opposite? Explanations welcome in the comments.
