Don’t Forget To ‘Fall Back’ This Weekend—Check Your Smoke Detectors, Too

BROOKLYN – Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend, at 2am on Sunday, November 5, so before you go to bed on Saturday night, remember to set your clocks back one hour if they aren’t automatically set to change on their own.

Falling back means we gain an hour of sleep, which we’re sure those running the New York City Marathon this Sunday will appreciate.

Another reminder: take this opportunity to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, so remember to grab some batteries while you’re out and about in the next couple days. Here are some safety tips to keep in mind, as well, courtesy of National Grid:
