Star Sign Parties at Sycamore: Gemini
When: Monday, June 13 at 8pm to midnight
Where: Sycamore Bar and Flower Shop, 1118 Cortelyou Road
What: Celebrate your star sign on the first Monday of every month, featuring Tarot readings, flower crowns, drink specials, and cosmic connections.
How Much: Free, but show the bar some love.

Kings Theater Historic Tour
When: Tuesday, June 14 at 11am sharp
Where: Under the marquee at the Kings Theater, 1027 Flatbush Avenue, between Regent Pl and Beverley Rd.
What: Looking for an excuse to play hooky on a Tuesday morning? Here’s a perfect one: Attend a 60-minute guided tour of the newly renovated Kings Theater, including history, architecture, and how they spent the $95 million to renovate the former movie theater. Garden Concert at PS 217
When: Wednesday, June 15 at 6pm
Where: PS 217 school, 1100 Newkirk Avenue (and Westminster Road)
What: Lovely outdoor garden concerts at PS 217, this week featuring Brooklyn-based jazz band Albert Marques & IDN. The band plays energetic, original compositions that fuse contemporary Latin-jazz, punk and flamenco.
How Much: Free

Learn Bangla singing and language at the Avenue C Plaza
When: Thursday, June 16 at 4:15pm to 6:30pm
Where: Mobile studio at Avenue C and McDonald Avenue
What: Bengali singing and dancing led by Annie Ferdous, director of BIPA, the Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts, and her husband, Nilofar Jahan. Come out and enjoy the whole month of free events at the plaza.
How much: Free

Plan ahead…Friday is the annual NY Philharmonic in the park!
When: Friday, June 17 at 8pm to 10pm. Come early to set up your blanket, stay late for the fireworks.
Where: Prospect Park in the Long Meadow. Enter at 15th street Bartel-Pritchard square.
What: Celebrate the NY Philharmonic’s 51st season of free music in the park. The orchestra will be led by Alan Gilbert, performing Beethoven’s Overture to Fidelio, Symphony No. 3, Eroica; and Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto. And always, fireworks will light the sky after the show.
How much: FREE!
