Looking for a new place to call home? We’ve rounded up a bunch of apartments that are currently available to rent in and around Ditmas Park — take a look at the details, and let us know what you think. Lots of luck in your search!

No Fee One Bed(s) on Foster
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,600, no broker fee
Details: If photos from a similar unit are any indication, then nice light, pretty prewar details, and updates in the kitchen and bathroom are what future occupants of this Foster Avenue/Argyle Road building’s one bedroom apartments have to look forward to — well, that and easy access to Newkirk Plaza transportation and surrounding businesses. With their combination of good looks, location, and rare lack of any broker fee, it’s hard to imagine the three units advertised in the above listing staying vacant for long.

One Bedroom for Drivers
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,600, plus broker fee
Details: Why rent a $1,600 one bedroom with a fee when you could rent one without, you ask? One big reason for local car owners-slash-apartment seekers, we suspect, will be the private spot available (for $200/mo) to tenants of this Dorchester Road building. If not that, though, it could be the location right near amenities and transportation on Cortelyou, the doorman and in-building laundry, and/or the sparkly new kitchen (with dishwasher) that we’re thinking, though the listing’s wording is a bit muddled, opens right into a living area.

Recently Renovated Two Bed
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,825, plus broker fee
Details: This two bed on Regent Place and E 21st Street looks to have nice floors, fresh paint on the walls, and a modern bathroom and kitchen… it’s just that there isn’t a whole lot of the latter. Dark cabinets, a glass backsplash, and stainless appliances seem like the standard for trying to make an apartment look more upscale these days, but the only possible way two people are going to have enough cooking and storage space in here is if they buy a whole lot more furniture for that purpose. It’s all pretty, and it’s the lowest priced two bed we found anywhere nearby this week… it’s just we can’t make dinner on a counter the size of a composition notebook, and Heaven help us if that’s a 3/4 size fridge. Worth it anyway?

No Fee E 19th Three Bed
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,800, plus broker fee
Details: There’s only one photo to go around for all three listing brokers here, but it does give us more hope for this kitchen than the last. There’s a decent amount of counter space and cabinets, a definite standard size fridge, and a dishwasher, plus the mention of laundry facilities somewhere in the unit, so huzzah! Also, for the second time this week, this place requires no payment of a broker fee — so get in and get (so sorry about this) cooking.
