Pre-war studio with hardwood floors
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,025
Details: It’s distressing to see that this studio is “flagged” because, at $1,025, it’s apparently $375 below market value. But, moving onto the actual apartment: we’re liking the hardwood floors and, at least from what we can glimpse in the photos, a tree-lined view. The listing says there’s brick in it, which is always nice, though you can’t see it from the photos. And, it doesn’t give the exact address, though it does say you’re about half a mile from the 2 and 5 subway lines at the Beverley Road station. You’d be close to Flatbush Avenue, which means access to the shopping and restaurants on the busy commercial street, and you can bring your dog or cat along with you to your new digs, which is always a thumbs-up in our book.

One bedroom on Beverley
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,950
Details: This one-bedroom on Beverley is super naturally sunny – which, hooray! We’re liking the finishings, and it looks like you’d have plenty of space to move around the updated kitchen – though counter space seems relatively limited. You’d be less than a half-mile walk from the shops and dining on Cortelyou Road, and just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Q subway station at Beverley.

Two-bedroom with a roof deck
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,500
Details: What do people think of this price? That roof deck is looking like a  place we’d like to hang out this summer, you’d have your own in-unit washer and dryer, and there’s a gym in the building. You’d be on Caton Avenue, about 0.4 miles to the subway station at Parkside Avenue and about half a mile from the B/Q subway station – as well as all the shopping and restaurants – on Church.

Three (uh, or two?) bedroom with brick, brick & more brick
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,600
Details: So, we’re thinking it’s a typo that the header on this says it’s a two-bedroom, but everything else in the listing says it’s a three-bedroom. Because, if it’s a three-bedroom, that’s making us less sour on the price. Plus, look at all that exposed brick – it’s everywhere! There’s no fee with a two-year lease, there are closets in every room, ceiling fans, pretty hardwood floors – this place is, no doubt, a beauty. You’d be at 1806 Caton Avenue, which means you’re close to both the shopping and restaurants on both Church and Flatbush.
