Ditmas Park Rental Roundup

Looking for an apartment to rent in or around Ditmas Park? We’ve rounded up a few spaces available in the neighborhood to help you on your hunt. If you live in one of the apartment buildings, let prospective neighbors know how you like it.

High Floor Studio with Lots of Sun
Available: Immediately
Price: $1,300, plus broker fee
Details: This studio just south of Cortelyou gives you easy access to shops, bars, and restaurants, plus you’ll be about equidistant from the Q and F trains (great for weekends like this one). The unit has ample closet space, the building has laundry and a doorman, and the nice high floor means lots of natural light, a decent view, and maybe even no neighbors walking all over your head? Not 100% on that, but you should find out.

No Fee Near Newkirk Plaza
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,000, no broker fee
Details: This two bed on E 22nd between Newkirk and Ditmas looks nice, clean, not tiny, and recently upgraded, and if the lobby’s any indication, the building’s well maintained too. Windows on the east and west sides of the apartment will give you nice morning light to wake up to and enjoyable sunsets, and though the place isn’t exactly cheap, the rare “no broker fee” label is pretty enticing.

Decently-Priced Three Bed near Church
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,500, plus broker fee
Details: When the ad says photos are of a similar unit in the building, we sure hope that means the apartment up for grabs has a fireplace, too–but really, it doesn’t matter much since this is the cheapest place per roommate this week by far. If it’s a fair indication, the unit in the photos has some nice wainscoting, and while the kitchen isn’t the shiniest, it’s not a shoebox either. The building will put you about 1.5 blocks from the B/Q at Church too so you won’t have to worry about pesky local platform construction, but sorry, animal lovers–no pets allowed.

Top Floor Two Bed with the Works
Available: March 15
Price: $2,600, plus broker fee
Details: What this place lacks in location, it might just make up for in amenities. Two baths (at least one of which is stunning, and we’re guessing the same for the other), a balcony, a big fancy kitchen, in-unit laundry, a roof deck, an adjustable heating system, an elevator that opens right into your apartment, and private storage in the basement included in the rent… per person, this could end up roughly about the same as a balcony-less, laundry-less room plus storage elsewhere. Justified?
