Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Tonight might be wet – the National Weather Service predicts a 70 percent chance of rain showers – but it’ll clear up for a sunny weekend. Saturday and Sunday will bring expected highs in the mid-60s and mostly sunny skies. How are you spending the spring weekend? Let us know in the comments and take some pictures for The Nabe’s Flickr group.

  • This Sunday, Brooklyn Community Church will celebrate its annual women’s day. The festivities kick off at 10:45 a.m. at P.S. 67 at 51 Saint Edwards Street, and the keynote speaker is Council Member Laurie Cumbo. Gwen Towns, formerly of Interfaith Auxiliary board; Andrene Seargeant, of the 88th Precinct; Samantha Johnson, of University Settlement; and Olanike Alabi will be honored during the service. Food will follow the services.
  • Today kicks off FAB Fridays for the season – the Fulton Area Business Alliance’s series of community events that run until September. Today’s FAB Friday features events for all ages, all day long. Start your day at 10 a.m. with an interactive concert for the kids, featuring Mill’s Trills, and follow your dancing with book activities led by Greenlight Bookstore and the Uni Project. The afternoon, starting at 4 p.m., features many kid-friendly activities – from art workshops to NYPD and FDNY demonstrations. From 6 to 8 p.m., the adults can dust off their dancing shoes for a dance party led by DJ Gene Allen. All events will take place at the Putnam Triangle Plaza at Fulton Street and Grand Avenue.
  • Long Island University Brooklyn faculty will be on hand Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for a summer camp open house. They’ll demonstrate offerings for children ages 3 to 12 – from Capoeira to Chinese and gymnastics and theater arts, among others. Information will also be available about LIU’s new sports camps for basketball, soccer and swimming. If you register for the summer session at open house, you can receive up to a $150 discount. Events will be held at 1 University Plaza, located at the corner of DeKalb and Flatbush avenues.
