Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Spring is here, and Mother Nature is reinforcing the change of season with temperatures reaching the mid-50s this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. If you make it out to take in the fresh air and sunshine, don’t forget to grab some photos and share them in The Nabe’s Flickr group.

  • Brownstoner highlighted another neighborhood gem on Washington Avenue that has an unseen past. The two houses, currently at 351 and 353 Washington, were originally built as one brick Italianate at 353 in 1860. By 1922, Colonial Revival style was popular and the owner had the entire original façade removed, before paying for the Federal façade currently on the entire building. The addresses became part of the Clinton Hill Historic District in 1981.
  • Ever wondered how police are taught to handle their guns?
