Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

It should feel like spring here today with expected temperatures in the mid-50s and sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. We know some buds must be growing, including the annual crocus bloom. If you see any flowers while you’re out enjoying the air, don’t forget to snap a photo and share it on The Nabe’s Flickr group.

Here’s some local news to help you start your day:

  • Make Music New York wants your organizational talents as it searches for people to help plan its 2014 music festival. Although our local venue, Fort Greene Park, seems to already be taken, the organization still has many other parks around New York City that need a host. This news also means the search for musicians is on. If you know a local band looking for a gig, check out MMNY’s performance matchmaker and make sure to apply by April 29.
  • We got interior views of the copper-clad condos at 260 Greene Avenue in this Brownstoner post. The three Clinton Hill buildings that make up the complex have condos for sale prices ranging from $899,000 to $1,350,000 through Halstead Property. What do you think about the final product from Brookland Capital, locals?
  • The Ingersoll Houses have added 24 new gardening beds, adding to the 40 community garden plots currently there, DNAinfo reported. The beds, paid for through a Gardens for the City grant, already have 50 interested gardeners interested in getting seeds in this spring. The site has grown from eight plots started by eight members in 2009.
