Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

You might have thought it was mild this weekend, but the start of the week looks to be even warmer, with temperatures expected to be in the 50s, according to the National Weather Service. When you’re out enjoying the spring-like weather, don’t forget to snap some photos and upload them to The Nabe’s Flickr group.

Here’s more local news to start your day:

  • A redesign is coming to BAM Park, a 14,000-square-foot triangle park bordered by Lafayette Avenue, Fulton Street and Saint Felix Street, according to Brownstoner. The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership is seeking civil engineers and landscape architects to redesign and reconstruct the park, according to a request for proposals. The park has been closed because subsurface soil conditions – stemming from the G train station located under the park – make it unsafe to walk in.
  • Help us congratulate Rev. Carmen Mason Browne, Pastor of the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, on her retirement from the church this week. Paster Mason Browne administered her final service at the Fort Greene church on Sunday, but still intends to live locally, so don’t be shy if you see her in the nabe.
  • Catch up on the development of the Naval Hospital Cemetery Memorial Landscape at the Community Board 2 Parks and Recreation Committee meeting tonight at 6 p.m. Milton Puryear, a founders of the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative, will give the update on the park at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Head to dining rooms A and B at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, located at 121 DeKalb Avenue, for the meeting.
  • If you’re looking for something to do after the meeting, borough rivals St. Joseph’s College and Brooklyn College will collide in a Division III doubleheader tonight at Brooklyn Technical High School – located at 29 Fort Greene Place. The women tip off play at 7 p.m., followed by the men at 9 p.m. The Bears (7-7) look to snap a two-game skid, while the Lady Bears (8-5) look to extend a 10 game home winning streak.
