Good Morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Brace yourselves – it’s going to be another cold one today. The National Weather Service says that the temperature will hover around the mid-30’s throughout the day with gusty winds, so bundle up, neighbors. Meanwhile, here are some things for your Thanksgiving week calendar:

  • Community Board 2 holds it’s monthly executive meeting tonight. The board will meet in the Jonas Board Room in Metcalfe Hall at Long Island University Brooklyn on Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public.
  • As part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s ongoing Cinematek festival, the artsy western “Wild Bill” will be screened tonight at the BAM Rose Cinemas at 30 Lafayette Avenue. Starring Jeff Bridges as Wild Bill Hickok and Ellen Barkin at Calamity Jane, this film by Walter Hill follows the rise and fall of this iconic gunslinger’s career. Showings are at 4:30 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets at $13 and can be purchased here.
  • We all know that one of the best parts of Thanksgiving is the leftovers. But why not spice up that turkey sandwich with a little wine? The Greene Grape is hosting a wine tasting on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at its 765 Fulton Street location. Stop by to try some samples and chat.
