Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

We made it through another snowstorm yesterday, but don’t get comfortable – we’ve got an addition round of winter precipitation coming tonight and tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service. We saw a few photos of the snow, but we’re sure more of you have some memorable shots. Share them with the community in The Nabe’s Flickr pool.

Here’s more news to start your morning:

  • Do you dream of leading meetings that can improve life around the nabe? Then don’t delay your application to the Brooklyn Borough President’s office to become part of Community Board 2. The application, meant for active and locally engaged city residents, asks myriad questions, so have your lists of neighborhood interests, community activities and recommendations ready.
  • The first review of Martha – formerly known as the Brooklyn Sandwich Society – wasn’t spectacular on Brooklyn Based. The food was initially underwhelming, according to the blog, but the rebranded restaurant “has indeed found its groove.” Though it can seem off-the-wall sometimes, the unique seasonal menu stands out for its inventiveness, the blog reported.
  • A Brooklyn Hospital Center plan to redevelop the Long Island College Hospital campus got a big endorsement from state Sen. Velmanette Montgomery this week, the New York Daily News reported. The plan would including housing, as well as a 24/7 care center run by Brooklyn Hospital Center.
