D / F / N / R Line Subway Service Advisories: 4/15 – 4/19

This week’s subway service announcements. Have fun with that, Bensonhurst.

D TRAIN

Beginning at 8:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday, April 15-18, 205th Street-bound D trains will be running local from 36th Street, Brooklyn to DeKalb Avenue.

F TRAIN

All times until the week of April 22, 2013, F trains will be skipping the Smith-9th Streets station in both directions. Use bus service to and from 4th Avenue-9th Street or Carroll Street instead.

N TRAIN

From 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday, April 15-19, there will be no trains at N, Q and R stations in Manhattan.

N trains run in Queens and Brooklyn only. N service operates in two sections:

• Between Ditmars Boulevard and Queensboro Plaza.
• Between Stillwell Avenue and Jay Street-MetroTech.

Take the 4, 6, 7, D, F or Q trains instead.

R TRAIN

Throughout the night, Monday to Thursday, April 15 to 18, service operates between 95th Street and 36th Street in Brooklyn only. To travel further north or into Manhattan and Queens, follow these alternatives:

Travel Alternatives:

1. N trains make all stops between 36th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech.
2. M trains make all stops between Queens Plaza and 71st Avenue.
3. D trains provide alternate service between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

• Transfer between R and D or N trains at 36th streets.
• Transfer between D and M trains at Broadway-Lafayette streets.
