Cyclist In Stable Condition After Hit & Run On Dorchester & E 18th St.
cyclist hit and run dorchester and e 18th

A call came in for a cyclist hit by a car at the intersection of Dorchester Rd. and E 18th St. at 9:16pm last night, a spokesman for the FDNY says. NY1 reports the driver was attempting to turn onto Dorchester from E 18th when the woman was hit, and that she was transported to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. News12 says her condition has since been upgraded to stable.

The driver kept going. Both News12 and NY1 say the car was an SUV, News12 specifying, like NYCAlerts, that the car was black. NYCAlerts also says it was a Mercedes, but doesn’t specify whether it was an SUV.

UPDATE: DNAInfo says the cyclist was riding with traffic on Dorchester and while turning onto E 18th St.

A spokesman for the 70th Precinct says the cyclist is in her late 20s or early 30s, but is as yet unidentified. A missing persons report is being filed. We will let you know as we receive more information.

Our thoughts go out to the injured cyclist — if anyone knows her condition, and if there’s anything neighbors can do to help, let us know.
