Crown Heights Robber Stabbed Victim With Screwdriver and Fled
CROWN HEIGHTS – Police are searching for the suspect who stabbed a man in a Crown Heights robbery gone wrong earlier this month.
The would-be robber approached his 52-year old victim near Schenectady and Eastern Parkway at about 4:00 am on Friday, November 17, police said. The suspect demanded the victim’s property brandishing a screwdriver. When the victim refused, the suspect stabbed him about the head and hands with the weapon, police said.
The suspect fled on foot, empty handed, leaving the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition by EMS, where he was treated and released, police said.

Police described the attacker as a black man wearing all black clothing.
