Cortelyou’s Tot Lot Was Closed Last Night
Cortelyou Road’s Lt. Narvaez Tot Lot was closed by chain and lock last night.
The park was supposed to be closed Tuesday night but stayed open. On Wednesday night at about 10:45 pm, the park’s black gates were closed, a small and shiny silver chain and lock marking the place off limits to all.
The closing is supposed to last for more than a week from 9pm at nights until 8am in the mornings. A meeting is being organized in approximately 2 weeks (after Labor Day) between concerned parents, Parks Borough Commissioner’s office, CB 14, NYPD 70th precinct and Assemblywoman Jacobs office.
Christina, via the Flatbush Family Network, wrote, “We have approximately 11 volunteers already but WILL NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS if we hope to do this ourselves.”
