Cortelyou Library Friends Gets Generous Donation From Brooklyn Industries

When Cortelyou Road’s new Brooklyn Industries held its shopwarming party a few weeks ago, it pledged to donate 20% of sales made during the party to the Cortelyou Library Friends Group, but the Group says the shop generously donated 20% of its sales for the day instead. Coupled with donations and sales of tote bags at the party, the library raised a substantial sum to support its efforts — namely, an after-hours drop box.

If you missed your chance to shop for a good cause, you can still make a donation any time to support our library. Neighbors are welcome to send a check made out to the Brooklyn Public Library’s Finance department, with Cortelyou Library Friends in the memo, to the library.
