Cops Search For Suspect Who Sprayed ‘Chemical Substance’ At Barclays Subway Station

Police are searching for a suspect who they say sprayed an “unknown chemical substance” at two victims during a dispute at the Pacific Street R subway station at Barclays on Tuesday, July 19 at approximately 4:00pm.

The suspect was involved in a dispute with a 48-year-old male and 45-year-old female inside a subway elevator. Once they were off the elevator, the suspect followed the victims to the mezzanine area of the Pacific Street R subway station and sprayed them with the substance before he fled in an unknown direction, cops say.

The two victims suffered pain in their eyes as a result of the assault. They were transported to the Brooklyn Hospital and were listed in stable condition at the time.

The suspect is described as a male, black, 6’0″, and 300lb. He was last seen wearing a black “du-rag,” a green and black t-shirt, a brown jacket, black jeans, and black sneakers.
