Cops After Pair Who Pulled Gun During Gravesend Car Sale [Video]

Cops are trying to track down two men they say tried to steal a car during a test drive gone wrong.

A 25-year-old male victim told cops he was trying to sell his car to two men he met on Tuesday, May 17, at approximately 2:41pm, near Kings Highway and West 12th Street. When the victim agreed to a test drive, one suspect sat in the driver’s seat, the car owner sat in the front passenger seat, and the second suspect sat in the back, according to police.

When they arrived in the at West 10th Street and Highlawn Avenue, the suspect in the back seat exited the car, displayed a gun, and told the victim to get out of the vehicle, say cops. When the victim refused, both of the suspects tried to force him from the car. During the struggle the victim yanked car keys from the ignition and ran away.

The first individual is described as black, 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, with a thin build; last seen wearing a yellow jacket, gray sweatpants, white sneakers and he had dark colored backpack.

The second suspect is described as black, 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, with a thin build;last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater, a blue t-shirt, black sneakers and dark colored sweatpants.

Police have shared surveillance footage of the two suspects, who ran southbound on West 10th Street.
