Police are searching for two men who robbed a livery cab driver in Coney Island last month.

Police say the driver picked up the suspects in the middle of the night on December 6 — at the corner of Foster Avenue and Coney Island Avenue. They were driven to Surf Avenue and West 35th Street in Coney Island, where one of the men threatened the driver with a black gun and demanded money, according to authorities. The driver handed over his wallet containing $160 in cash and the suspects took off on West 35th Street, cops say.

On Wednesday, the NYPD released a surveillance video of the two men said to be behind the robbery. One is described as a white Hispanic, about five feet, ten inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black Adidas hooded sweat suit and white sneakers.

Police described the other suspect as a dark-skinned man, about five feet, eight inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a clack jacket, black shirt, light-colored pants, and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
