The NYPD is searching for two suspects wanted for an attempted rape that occurred near Prospect Park early Wednesday morning.

The men allegedly followed a 25-year old woman in the vicinity of Tennis Court and Ocean Avenue, on May 25, at approximately 2:15am, shoving her against a parked car and assaulting her, according to the police report.

The victim escaped and ran into a nearby residential building, say cops. The suspects chased her through the courtyard and into the lobby of another building, where they pinned her against a door, tried to pull her pants off, and punched her repeatedly. Fortunately, a building resident showed up and the suspects to fled the scene.

Police released surveillance video of the two suspects walking down the street. Both are described as black or Hispanic males, approximately 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build. The first suspect was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, and black sneakers. The second suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a black sweater, and dark colored jeans.

This is the fourth attempted rape recently reported in the vicinity of Prospect Park; in April a woman jogging in the park fought off an assaulter, in late May Park Slope Stoop reported on a woman who fought off an attacker on 2nd street, and a few days later in May a woman was dragged into the park near Eastern Parkway in broad daylight, reported Patch.
