Construction Continues At 247 Greene Avenue, Begins At 245
245 greene avenue under construction

Work continues on the rapidly changing block of Greene Avenue between Grand and Classon.

As previously reported, a new four story, two family building is in the works at 247 (behind the fence on the right), which is currently a big hole with some concrete and structural supports in it.

Next door, the former funeral parlor at 245–which was on the market earlier this year for almost $2 million (and in very, very sad shape)–has been pulled from the Corcoran site, though there are no public records of a sale. A sidewalk shed (green, on the left) was approved on August 26 and has already been erected around the home, which is slated to undergo work including electrical and plumbing, removal of walls, and more.

We’ll be curious to see what the combination of repairs and new, non-vacant lot next door do for the asking price of 245, should it be put back on the market at a later date.
