Construction and Upcoming Street Closures

In addition to the ongoing closure of 6th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues, here are some construction projects and street closures to look out for around the area, via Community Board 6:

525 10th Street at 7th Avenue
Now through about November 28
Time Warner Cable is upgrading the cable system in the area, and are excavating in front of this address. The construction project shouldn’t close down any streets, but may impact parking.

7th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues
Saturday, November 3 through Sunday, November 4
The street will be closed to traffic from 8am to 6pm Saturday and 9am to 6pm Sunday, due to a crane operation at 506 6th Street.

6th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues
Saturday, November 10 through Sunday, November 11
This will be an extra crummy weekend for the residents of 6th St, who will still likely be dealing with weekday closures of their block, and now have to face a weekend closure as well. From 8am to 6pm Saturday and 9am to 6pm Sunday, the street will be closed to traffic due to a crane operation at 380 5th Avenue.
