Congregation Israel Of Kings Bay Holds A Chanukah Family Fun Party
Congregation Israel of Kings Bay will hold its annual Chanukah Family Fun Party, 7:30 p.m., December 21 at 3903 Nostrand Avenue, corner of Voorhies Avenue.
The event — sponsored by Kosher Palace Supermarket (2818 Avenue U; [718] 743-1900) — will feature the lighting of the second night’s candle of the Chanukah menorah, raffles, prizes, refreshments, dreidel playing, chocolate Chanukah gelt (mmmmm…gelt), and more.
The commemoration of the eight-day Festival of Lights recalls the miracle of the oil and ancient rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the revolt of the Maccabees.
