Congrats to Artist Jonathan Blum, Top 10 Finalist in GO

A big congratulations to local painter and printmaker Jonathan Blum, who’s made it to the top 10 nominated artists in the GO project from the Brooklyn Museum. He’s now in the running for an exhibition that will open at the museum on December 1, during their Target First Saturday evening.

Artists were chosen by vistors to their open studios, and the artists featured in the exhibition will be narrowed down from the top 10 list by museum curators. Those artists will be announced on November 15. Good luck Jonathan!

In the meantime, you can see his work at his storefront at 285 5th Avenue, which is open by appointment, and by following his updates on Twitter. No word on whether free goat/ostrich prints will still come with every purchase once he’s a Brooklyn Museum exhibitor.
