Propellerhead, a new restaurant and bar coming to Coney Island Avenue, says that it is back on track toward opening its doors.

Propellerhead, which is supposed to be opening shortly at 752 Coney Island Avenue, now has the proper City permits needed for its electric work and their stop work order has been removed, said Brittany Echlin, the restaurant’s designer.

On January 18 we reported that there was a partial stop work order on the restaurant for unlicensed electrical work. Echlin told us then that the restaurant was unaware their electrician had not filed all of the permits required. “We were under the impression everything was being done legally and above board,” she said.

The City issued the required permits “nearly two weeks ago…[and]  we have a new electrician in fixing the problems,” Echlin said.
