CIA Traffic Update

Another week, and more of the same on Coney Island Avenue. Reader alsivi sends these photos from various times during the past week, showing the M&M Auto Glass sign still blocking a lane of traffic near Cortelyou, and cars parked in the no-standing zone, and other ones double parked as well.

I sent the past two rounds of updates, along with a link to the SeeClickFix report, to Community Board 12, who said only that they would forward the info to the 66th Precinct. They also suggested that a group of people get together and go to the next 66th Community Council meeting, which is Thursday, April 19, 7:30pm, at 5910 13th Ave. Anyone available?

Until then, to lodge a complaint, you can contact CB12 at 718-851-0800, and the 66th Community Affairs office at 718-851-5601.

Additionally, go vote for the SeeClickFix issue (there’s a “vote” button on the top right) and add a comment there as well.

Please continue to report blocked streets and sidewalks to 311, either by phone or online. And email us pictures–we’ll keep posting them until something changes. A special thanks to alsivi for continuing to snap photos.
