Church Avenue BID’s Lauren Elvers Collins To Join Flatbush Avenue BID As Well

Church Avenue BID Executive Director Lauren Elvers Collins is about to be even busier, as we hear she’s soon to head up the Flatbush Avenue BID as well as staying with Church.

Lauren will be taking over the position of Jack Katz, Flatbush’s beloved Executive Director of 22 years, who passed away in November of 2012. She has been in her current position at the Church Avenue BID since 2010, previously having held roles at the Windsor Terrace Alliance, the Gowanus Canal Conservancy, and the United Way of New York City as well as running her own marketing firm from 1998-2003.

Under Lauren’s direction, her BID has blossomed with initiatives like Uncover Church Avenue, From Roti to Rhubarb, and more. Since the Flatbush Avenue BID serves the very in-flux stretch from Parkside Avenue to Cortelyou Road, including the Kings Theatre and Flatbush-Caton Market, we look forward to seeing how Lauren brings the best out in both established and emerging businesses in her new area.

Congratulations on the new joint position, Lauren–we can’t wait to see what you do with the place!
