Checking in on Cafe Dada

Four months after opening, Cafe Dada has come into its own. There’s a five-star consensus on Yelp, and the joint was jumping on a recent weekday afternoon.

The coffee is great and the pastries tempting (especially the lemon tart). There’s good buzz about the French-Hungarian food and, for freelancers looking for a place to park with a hot cuppa joe for a few hours, there are usually some empty, inviting tables. Though they didn’t make it onto our coffee shop matrix, and we’ve previously figured it’s not a place for spending time with a laptop, it seems like there’s a good chance you could make it work for working – though really their goal is for people to be social.

The silverware installation on the back wall now shares space with a local artist, as part of their goal to support community arts.

And the counter is pretty terrific.
