Chanukah Family Fun Party At Congregation Israel Of Kings Bay
Fun will be had for all ages at Congregation Israel of Kings Bay’s annual Chanukah Family Fun Party Thursday night, December 13, 7:30 p.m. at 3903 Nostrand Avenue (corner of Voorhies Avenue).
The yearly Chanukah fest, which is free to all, features a menorah lighting, chocolate Chanukah gelt, delicious jelly-filled donuts (“sufganyot”), prizes, refreshments, dreidels and more.
The commemoration of the eight-day Festival of Lights recalls the miracle of the oil and ancient rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the revolt of the Maccabees.
While free, a donation is suggested. The event, sponsored by Kosher Palace Supermarket, is a joint program of the CIKB-Y.I. of Kings Bay and Release Time at P.S. 52.
