THE BARS

Hartley’s irish Pub (14 Putnam Avenue, east of Grand Avenue) — Clinton Hill’s very own authentic Irish pub run with love by three actual Irish guys/friends is our go-to spot this week. They have live music on Monday and Wednesday, from traditional to folk to Irish rock. And the food is like St. Patrick’s week year-round, with everything from guinness stew to Irish cheddar and beef on soda bread.

Putnam’s Pub and Cooker (419 Myrtle Avenue) — This cozy neighborhood classic has already thrown their annual Guinness & Oyster Fest and follows it up with live Irish music, trivia, and a special menu full of corned beef and cabbage, potato and leek soup, Irish lamb stew and cured Irish salmon, various dishes spiked with Jameson whiskey, and Shepherd’s pie with kerrygold cheddar mash.

Brooklyn Tap House (590 Myrtle Avenue, between Classon and Taaffe) — Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day AND March Madness together with food and drink specials all day, doors opening at noon.

Bar Bolinas (455 Myrtle Avenue) — St. Patrick’s Day coincides with their Cosmic Cocktail party and astrology reading celebrating Pisces, so stop by and sign up early for a reading!

Hops Hill (886 Fulton Street) — Enjoy craft beers and cocktails and cider in an industrial-chic atmosphere.

Mullane’s (71 Lafayette Avenue) — Try their Irish Old Fashion with The Knot Irish Whiskey over a burger and the March Madness game!
