Celebrate Am Thai Bistro’s Two Year Anniversary Tomorrow Afternoon
Am Thai Bistro will be celebrating two years at 1003 Church Avenue (between E 10th Street and Stratford Road) tomorrow, January 29, from 11am-12pm. Church and Flatbush Avenue BID Director Lauren Elvers Collins, who attended last year’s ceremony, sent along the photos above and below.
“The community is invited,” Lauren says. “Monks in bright orange robes come down from several temples and do a blessing, visitors are allowed to serve the monks which includes a blessing on the server, and the monks eat, after which we are all allowed to eat.”
She says there’s a ton of delicious food at the ceremony, but her favorite is the specially made coconut balls that she wishes were on the menu the rest of the year.
