CBS Covers Tragic Death Of Ngozi Agbim & Locals To Demonstrate Tomorrow

Patricia Ngozi Agbim‘s death on Ocean Parkway this summer will be honored in two ways in the next 24 hours, and you can get involved.

First, tune in as CBS discusses the accident at 5:30pm tonight. Then if you’re free tomorrow morning, join Councilmember Brad Lander and neighbors at 11am as they bring a petition to Governor Cuomo’s office (633 3rd Avenue between 40th and 41st Streets in Manhattan) demanding a safer Ocean Parkway.

As you’ll remember, District 39 voted to increase safety measures on Ocean Parkwayas part of last year’s Participatory Budgeting, but the DOT has yet to approve of their plan for the intersection at which 73-year-old Ngozi was killed. By presenting the petition, Lander and constituents hope to move the process of improving the intersection along.
