CB14 Presents Awards for Outstanding Service to the Community, Including One for Us!

Community Board 14 held its annual reception and awards ceremony last night, welcoming its new board members and honoring several public servants and community members for outstanding service to our community. This year, I am proud to say that group included me, in recognition for the work we’re doing here on this site. Thank you very much, CB14!

And thanks to all the fellow award recipients for the work you’re doing to help make our part of Brooklyn the best area in the city. District Manager Shawn Campbell and Chairman Alvin Berk presented the awards, so you’ll see them a lot in these photos.

The Community Board does not hold meetings during the summer, but will resume in September. The CB14 district staff is available throughout the summer during regular business hours. Feel free to reach out to them at 718-859-6357 or info@cb14brooklyn.com.

(And if you have any photos from the ceremony last night, please send them to that email address–CB14’s camera died during the event–and they will add their favorites to next year’s photo collage poster, which hangs in the district office.)
