BWECC Meeting On Tuesday, January 24
The Bensonhurst West End Community Council will be holding its monthly Open Community Meeting a week from tomorrow night.
On Tuesday January 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Harway Terrace (2475 West 16th St.) the council will be accepting nominations for the honorees which will be feted at their 51st gala. The categories include man, woman, couple, educator, humanitarian, and parent of the year.
They’ve also invited local officials and representatives in order to bring attendees up to date on concerns raised at previous meetings. Those issues include a negative report on the B49 and Harway Avenue signal light, Assemblyman Colton’s report on the B64 Bus, as well as Community Board 11 and 13’s reports and CEC 21 bringing participants up to date on school issues.
