A new spot promising “crazy good burgers and craft beers” is coming to 5th Avenue — and they’re looking for some help.

Brooklyn Burgers & Beers is prepping to open at 259 5th Avenue, on the corner of Garfield, in the space that was home to A.O.C. Bistro until it closed last fall. They’re currently at work redoing the interior, and you can check out some of the progress on their Facebook page, where you can see they’re changing the space from the former French restaurant into a more modern, cozy, rustic space with reclaimed wood, subway tile, and more.

Tipster J pointed us to a Craigslist post about open positions, which notes the new spot will “specialize in gourmet burgers, craft beers and comfort food,” and that they’ll be serving lunch, dinner, and brunch.

And it looks like they’re getting pretty close to opening, as they’ll be holding an open call for staff at the space today, Tuesday, May 19 and tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20 from 12-2pm. They’re looking for experienced bartenders, waiters, barbacks and busboys, and line and prep cooks. You can just stop by with your resume, or you can avoid a wait by emailing them first.

The job post notes they’re hoping to be slinging burgers by early June.

If you can’t wait that long for a burger, we do have a couple other options nearby. In addition to burger-centric spots up on 7th Avenue like Bareburger, Burger Village, and Brooklyn Flipsters, as well as The Burger Bistro up a bit on 5th and Shake Shack over on Flatbush, other spots where folks enjoy the burgers include Bonnie’s, Pork Slope, and The Dram Shop, to name a few.
