A Bronx man turned himself in to police after spotting his photo plastered all over the news this past week for allegedly groping and fondling a 26-year-old woman on a Brooklyn-bound Q train at the DeKalb Avenue station this past Tuesday, July 21.

Jonathan Quirindongo, 32, now faces charges of forcible touching, sexual abuse, and harassment in the July 21 encounter. He appeared in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Tuesday, July 28, and was released without bail. He will be due back in court at a later date.

As we reported last week, he reportedly sat down next to the woman during morning rush hour (around 8:15am) and rubbed her thigh and private area over her clothing — while also groping his own genitals. She got up and managed to take a photo of him with her cell phone.

According to the Daily News, he “continued to grope her even as she scooted away, prosecutors said.” They also noted that the victim “also saw him grope an unidentified sleeping woman on the Coney Island-bound train.”

In addition to turning himself in, the woman reportedly picked him out of a police lineup, wrote the Daily News.
