BQE Traffic At A Standstill After Cement Truck Overturns At Flushing Avenue Exit
A cement truck overturned at around 12:30pm near the Flushing Avenue exit on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway this afternoon, stopping westbound traffic and injuring at least one person.
City emergency services put out a call for help from the NYPD highway crash investigation unit and listed the injured individual — the truck’s driver — as being in “serious condition” in a Twitter post.
Drive safely and possibly find an alternate route if you’re in the area.
