Be Aware Of Two Local Pizza-cations

Hey, local pizza lovers! We just thought you should know about two area favorites that are currently closed or will be closed for vacation later this summer.

  • New York Brick Oven Pizza (375 Marlborough Road on the corner of Cortelyou Road) is closed until Tuesday, June 17 and will reopen on Wednesday, June 18 at 11am. Call 718-282-4222 to place an order after.
  • Di Fara Pizza (1424 Avenue J on the corner of E 15th Street) will be closed July 7 until July 16. Call 718-258-1367 to place an order after–they open at 12pm.

On the bright side, now’s a great time to try a pie from somewhere new! If you know of any other businesses heading out for a nice beachy break, let us know at

  1. New York Brick Oven’s complete lack of signage saying they will be on vacation is not a good idea, considering the place has already been closed for months once. I walked by yesterday and saw the gates down and assumed it had gone out of business for good until I saw this post.

  2. PS: I’ve been by this place several times in the past two weeks. Never open, side or front.

  3. They are trying their hardest to get the front of the space open, negotiations with landlords, etc.
Agreed they should have had more signs letting people know about the vacation. I’m missing them dearly, and hoping they will be open in the front for world cup!
