We noticed these signs on several blocks surrounding Fort Greene Park this morning, asking neighbors to move their cars on Monday evening for forthcoming FOX series Gotham filming on Tuesday.

Streets affected include:

  • Washington Park from Myrtle Avenue to Willoughby Avenue
  • Dekalb Avenue from Saint Felix Street to South Portland Avenue
  • Saint Felix Street from Dekalb Avenue to Fulton Street
  • Fort Greene Place from Dekalb Avenue to Fulton Street
  • South Elliott Place from Dekalb Avenue to Fulton Street
  • South Portland Avenue from Dekalb Avenue to Fulton Street

Gotham stars Jada Pinkett Smith (Set It Off, The Matrix series) as Fish Mooney and Ben McKenzie (The OC, Southland) as Commissioner Gordon. Says Deadline of the show:

It explores the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains who made Gotham City famous. In Gotham, Gordon is still a detective with the Gotham City Police Department and has yet to meet Batman, who will not be part of the series.

Gotham, reportedly bought by FOX in a bidding war last year, was created by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist). Its first episode is scheduled to air on September 22.

Neighbors are asked to move their cars by 10pm on Monday, August 11, in preparation for filming all day Tuesday starting at 6am. If your car is moved, call location manager Rob at 917-671-4495.
