Calling All Green Thumbs! Tree Care Event This Sunday
Neighbor Maria Newsom is calling on all green thumbs in the neighborhood to come help take care of nine street saplings outside the PS 217 schoolyard this Sunday.
The event is open to all, and Maria said it will help to get the young trees ready for another harsh summer ahead. Even 15 minutes of your time would be a big help!
Gloves, tools, mulch, and compost will be provided – all that’s needed from you is a helping hand.
The event will be held from 5pm to 6pm this Sunday at the schoolyard, located at Coney Island Avenue between Newkirk and Avenue H.
