Artists, Make Your Work “At Home” At Orbit Furniture

Here’s a nice surprise for emerging local artists! Nearby home store Orbit Furniture (815 Flatbush Avenue on the corner of Caton Avenue) is seeking neighbors who would like to show their work inside their public space.

“We are expanding and have space to accommodate for an art exhibit,” says a store representative. “We are willing to provide the space for free to a local artist. The only thing we ask is that the artist respect our work hours and space… This is to help the community, and of course increase foot traffic to our business.”

The store says showings may be held between 11am and 7pm Monday through Saturday, and from 11am to 5pm on Sundays. And who knows–besides having a space away from home to show your work, placing it in Orbit might make it more accessible to a wider range of fans who came in simply looking to outfit their homes.
