‘The Affair’ Filming Today, Tomorrow & Next Week In Ditmas Park
Now you don’t have to sneak around to catch ‘The Affair’, Showtime’s Golden Globe-winning drama, filming on Westminster and Argyle Roads today, tomorrow and next week.
The tryst will sprawl between Albermarle Road and Church Avenue, and also along Church and Caton Avenues, where No Parking signs have been spotted for Thursday, August 11 and Friday, August 12.
Most of the filming will center around a house on the corner of Westminster and Albermarle Roads, possibly both inside and outside on the street, this Thursday and Friday. Shoots are also planned for Monday, August 15–Friday, August 19, says the location department.
‘The Affair’, starring Dominic West (The Wire, 300, Chicago), Ruth Wilson, (Luther), Maura Tierney (ER) and Joshua Jackson (The Fringe, Dawson’s Creek), explores the emotional and psychological effects of — you guessed it — two affairs.
The beautiful backdrop of season 3 seems like a good enough excuse to start watching seasons 1 and 2, which earned 8/10 on IMDb and 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Check out a preview here.
Drivers be advised: there will be some “intermittent traffic control” on Westminster Road between Albermarle Road and Church Avenue, and on Albermarle Road between Argyle and Stratford Roads, during the film shoot.
Cars that are still hanging around the No Parking Zone spots risk getting towed to a nearby legal parking spot by the tow truck cadre. But don’t worry, if this happens to you simply call 311 or the NYC Office of Entertainment and Media at 212-489-6710 for help locating your car.
